Biography
| TEGAN R. PRATT When Tegan Pratt was four years old, she sat underneath a tree selling her drawings to the public for millions of dollars each. This may have been an ambitious goal, but people took notice of her work as they walked past. For seconds, however short that may seem, they were memorized. From that moment, she began challenging herself to produce a multitude of drawings and paintings. Her persistence, dedication, and honesty are infused in many of her pieces today. Inspired by her sisters and then by everything she saw, she began to develop a knack for creating artwork in several mediums including graphite, pastels, color pencils, charcoal, acrylic, and watercolors. She also does limited digital artwork and creates on various surfaces including hot press, Bristol, and canvas. Mrs. Pratt, born and raised in Chicago spent her teenage years in Orlando, Florida eventually making her way back to the Midwest. While attending the Art Institute of Chicago for animation, she decided that she needed to make a life-changing move. She packed her bags, hopped on a plane, and flew to a small town in California where she happily resides with her husband. Tegan believes in filling the void in people’s homes with custom, designed paintings. Her style is eclectic often producing real and fantastic cartoon-like images. She is embarking on a challenge to produce one hundred drawings. There is no time limit and virtually no rules except that all pieces must fall into a Manga style to qualify. Tegan Pratt is on number fifteen. |
